RFP Submission Deadline Extension
In response to multiple requests, the proposal submission deadline has been extended by one (1) week. The revised deadline for submission is Friday, February 20, 2026, no later than 4:30 p.m.
All other terms and conditions remain unchanged as outlined in the RFP and Addendum No. 1. Proponents are encouraged to plan accordingly, as no further extensions will be granted.
Summary
Tla’amin Nation is seeking qualified engineering and consulting firms to complete an Options Assessment for the Sliammon Lake Dam, located within its traditional territory north of Powell River, British Columbia. This study will evaluate long-term options for the dam including replacement, rehabilitation, or removal while considering safety, environmental, cultural, and community values. The assessment will be led by a Proponent with expertise in dam safety, hydrotechnical engineering, environmental and fish habitat considerations, and Indigenous engagement and will support informed, sustainable decision-making for the future stewardship of Tla’amin lands and waters.

A bathymetric map has been located and is attached hereto and posted on the project website for proponents’ reference. All other terms, conditions, and clauses of the Request for Proposals and previously issued addendum remain unchanged.
