Tla’amin Nation is inviting proposals from qualified hydrogeology consultants to complete groundwater availability assessments within Tla’amin Territory.
This work will support long-term land use planning, sustainable development, and groundwater reservation negotiations under Section 40 of the Water Sustainability Act. Water is essential to the health of our lands, ecosystems, and people, and this study will help ensure groundwater sources within Tla’amin Territory are well understood, protected, and managed for future generations.

Scope of Work (Summary)
The successful proponent will complete desktop-based groundwater availability assessments for priority Tla’amin Lands. The work will include:
- Reviewing existing hydrological and geospatial data
- Identifying aquifers and surface water connections
- Developing conceptual hydrogeological models
- Estimating groundwater availability with clear assumptions, uncertainty, and risk analysis
- Recommending safety factors related to climate change, seasonal variability, and seawater intrusion
- Identifying data gaps and recommending future field investigations (if budget allows)
- Preparing technical reports and a plain-language summary suitable for elected officials and decision-makers
All work must be completed by qualified Professional Geoscientists (P.Geo.) or Professional Engineers (P.Eng.)registered with Engineers and Geoscientists BC.
