Nation is seeking 32 students to fill diverse and fulfilling jobs

t̓išosəm (qathet), BC — Tla’amin Nation is opening applications today for its 2026 Summer Student Employment Program, offering 32 full-time positions for Tla’amin citizens between the ages of 15 and 29.
The program represents a $180,000 investment by the Nation in its future workforce and is one of the largest summer student programs in Tla’amin’s history. The program runs from June 29 to August 28, 2026.
Positions span a wide range of departments and work environments, from lands and resources to recreation, construction, digital media, emergency services, language and culture, and more.
Students will be asked to indicate their positions of interest when they apply. Everyone who applies will be offered a 15-minute interview as a chance to build real-world experience, regardless of the outcome. Interviews will be held June 12-18.
New this year, all students will take part in three days of training and orientation before starting their placements. This orientation will cover safety, communication, time tracking, WHMIS, FoodSafe, and other role-specific certifications.
To be eligible, applicants must be Tla’amin citizens between 15 and 29 who are returning to full-time school in the fall.

These young people are our future leaders and it’s never too early to introduce them to the joy, challenges and complexities of working for and serving your people.”
