qathet, BC — Thichum Forest Products, through its new company qwoqwnes Sort and Supply LP, has reached an agreement to purchase the assets of Olympic Log Sort Ltd.

“All along, our goal has been to take care of what comes from our territory,” said Hegus John Hackett. “By bringing this operation under Tla’amin management, we’re creating and preserving good local jobs, keeping decision-making close to home, and ensuring the resources of our forests are handled with care and respect.”
All unionized staff at Olympic Log Sort will be retained, ensuring stability and continuity. Over time, the expansion is expected to create new employment opportunities for both Tla’amin Citizens and members of the wider qathet community.
