It’s Time to Close the Tla’amin Census
Citizens have 72 hours left to complete the big survey
To mark the 9th anniversary of Tla’amin self-government on April 4, 2025, Tla’amin Nation launched taq̓atštəm – “We Are Going to Talk About It,” a Nation-wide census inviting every Citizen to help shape the future.
So far, 738 Citizens (61%) have taken the census, including 223 Citizens under the age of 19.
“The information from the census will guide our decisions and directions at the leadership table for the next five years,” said Hegus John Hackett. “We are really proud of this high response rate — it gives us a lot of confidence about what community priorities are.”

The census is available at https://tlaamin.boleyn.dev/census/ and closes Saturday August 30th at 6:00 PM. Participants who complete the census in the next 72 hours will receive a $50 thank-you honorarium.
taq̓atštəm was designed to gather important information about housing, health, language, employment, and more, ensuring the Nation can plan programs and services that reflect the needs of all Citizens — whether they live within ʔəms giǰɛ (Tla’amin Territory) or beyond.
