t̓išosəm (qathet), BC — Following a competitive process Tlaʼamin Nation is pleased to announce the appointment of Carmen Galligos as Chief Operations Officer (COO), effective June 8, 2026.
Carmen brings six years of hands-on experience serving Tlaʼamin Nation in roles of progressive leadership responsibility, most recently as Director of Public Works & Capital Infrastructure, where she grew the department to a team of 40 and led major capital projects across the community.
Her background spans civil engineering technology, project management, and operations, with a track record of advancing complex, multi-million-dollar initiatives while maintaining strong relationships across departments and with the Tla’amin community.
In her new role, Carmen will oversee a portfolio including Lands and Resources, Public Works & Capital Infrastructure, Housing, Fire and Emergency Management, and Building Inspection.

Carmen is a proud Tla’amin citizen, born and raised in t̓išosəm.
