Christmas Dividend Provides a Boost for Tla’amin Families

On November 6, 2024, Tla’amin Executive Council approved the 2024 Christmas dividend of $300 for every eligible adult and child.

Christmas dividends were historically $50-$100 dollars but were increased during the covid pandemic since people could not gather.  

“The rising cost of living is impacting Tla’amin families,” said Hegus John Hackett “Rather than hosting large, costly Christmas events we will continue to redirect this tala to families so that they may gather and celebrate Christmas in their own way.”

Deposit dates will be December 6, 13, and 20 for forms received by Tuesday noon each week.
