We walk alongside Tla’amin students and families throughout their school years journey.
Tla’amin Nation’s K–12 Education Services support students from kindergarten to Grade 12 by working directly with families, schools, and service providers.
Our role shifts depending on what’s needed. At times we act as advocates, coordinators, or connectors, but always as consistent, reliable support. The goal is simple: to help students stay connected to school and succeed on their own path.
What we do
- In-school support and advocacy (qathet region)
- We work directly with students, families, and schools to address challenges early and ensure students are supported in the classroom.
- Access to assessments and supports
- We help connect students to assessments and clinical supports that support learning, development and well-being.
- Tutoring and academic support
- We organize tutoring and additional academic supports for students who need it.
- Attendance support
- We work alongside families to improve attendance and reduce barriers to getting to school.
- Program partnerships
- We co-lead and support programs like the qaymɩχʷqɛnəmšt (Immersion) Program and the GIJE Program in partnership with the School District 47.
