DESCRIPTION:Saturday November 7th and Sunday November 8th\, 8:30am-5pm \n\n\nEducation Portable (6683 Tla’amin Road)Instructor: Gord Gemmell & Gerry Kirkham \n\n\nAdvance registration required. Email training@tn-bc.ca to apply.First-time licence applicants must pass the Canadian Firearms Safety Course before applying for a Possession and Acquisition Licence. After the in-class instruction\, you will do both a written and a practical test. \n\n\nAnyone 12 years or older can take the Canadian Firearms Safety Course. Children under 12 can take the course\, but only for educational purposes. They will not do the written or practical exams. To get a Minor’s Licence to borrow and use non-restricted firearms\, the minor must be between 12 and 17 years old. \n\n\nTopics \n\n\n\n\nevolution of firearms\, major parts\, types and actions\n\n\n\nbasic firearms safety practices\n\n\n\nammunition\n\n\n\noperating firearm actions\n\n\n\nsafe handling and carry procedures\n\n\n\nfiring techniques and procedures\n\n\n\ncare of non-restricted firearms\n\n\n\nresponsibilities of the firearms owner/user\n\n\n\nsafe storage\, display\, transportation and handling of non-restricted firearms\n\n\n\n\nProgram Details
